Kindergarteners Carve Up the Pumpkin

Luverne kindergarten students enjoyed a pumpkin carving class this past Monday.  It appears that the carving was a joint effort by all kindergarteners.







Volleyball Season Ends

Both BHS and HHS lost in the first round of regional play in Montgomery this past Friday.   Congratulations to all of our players and coaches on a fine season.

David Lowery Records his 150th Win

Congratulations to Coach David Lowery!  With his victory over the Red Level Tigers this past Friday night, Coach Lowery recorded his 150th win.  His total record at Brantley is 150-27, or an 84.7 winning percentage.  BHS plays hosts to the Elba Tigers this Friday night.  Hoping for win 151!

Mrs. Walden is a Class Act

LUVERNE, AL (WSFA) -
Ms. Susan Walden is a fixture here at Luverne Elementary School.  The 6th grade teacher has been here for 24 years and she loves what she does.   "This is a job where every day is different, it's never boring," Walden said.   Click here to view the segment.

Presidential Winner Announced at LHS

A few weeks ago, we wrote of Coach Suber's Electoral College Project per his Honor's Government class.  These students presented the Presidential candidates to their peers, the school cast ballots, the ballots were totaled and we have a winner!  President Obama received the students' approval both by electoral and popular vote.

The Squadron Spectacular and Live Auction

Highland Home School cordially invites the public to its Squadron Spectacular and Live Auction on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Highland Home School.  Games will begin at 4 PM, pageant winners announced at 7:15 PM, and the auction will begin at 7:30. Below is a poster highlighting some of the items  up for bid.

Scary Preschoolers on Lurk

Mrs. Tiffany Fussell's preschool class at Highland Home School celebrated Halloween by dressing the part.  From the picture below, it appears that all enjoyed the day.
