On Monday, June 18, 2012, the Crenshaw County Board of Education approved its short term goals for the 2012-2013 school year. These goals will serve as a guide as system and school decisions are made.

- Create and maintain a safe learning environment – RR
- Maintain cleanliness – CT
- Improve school climate. Create an environment that is compassionate. Exhibit school and system pride. – BJ
- Recruit and retain students – TH
- Increase academic focus – SS
- Increase enrichment opportunities – BJ
- Challenge the whole child per challenging curriculum and diverse extracurricular activities. Moreover, create and implement an honors program that distinguishes itself from the standard program. - CT
- Create a curriculum that is applicable and useful in everyday living– BJ
- Enhance and broaden the science curriculum. Implement more hands-on activities for high school students. - CT
- Provide Students With 21st Century Resources to Ensure Success. Moreover, provide students with a one-to-one electronic device initiative (tech device) tool – TH
- Create a 21st Century Learning Environment. Specifically, enhance and broaden use of technology, including, but not limited to, the system’s infrastructure, wireless access, staff resources, and student resources. CT
