Revision to Testing Program and Testing Dates

1. The number of days (window) needed for testing ACT Aspire, which is replacing the ARMT+, has been extended to four weeks.
2. The ALSDE is reverting back to the original name for the Alabama Science Assessment (ASA) administered in Grades 5 and 7.  This is not a new science assessment, but is a change in name.
3. The ACT will be administered to all 11^th graders in 2013-2014.  However, writing will not be a part of the assessment as originally announced.
4. Implementations of some Quality Core End-of-the-Course assessments have been delayed.  Only English 10 and Algebra I will be administered in 2013-2014.
