A fitting culmination to all of our diligent math efforts this year was the county's math tournaments. What a tremendous success we have had! The auditorium was abuzz with excited chatter as we prepared for the awards ceremony, but needless to say there was one last competition to host. Just as in the high school contest, there was a tie that had to be settled in a cypher-off in front of an auditorium full of educators, parents and peers. Schools took to cheers as the two took to the pencil and paper. What great anticipation and enthusiasm....all for the love of MATH!
Thanks again to all who did their part to make the event such a success. KUDOS of the nth degree to Mrs. Ashley Catrett and Mrs. Donna Ash for preparing and organizing the event. A special thanks is owed to Pepsi and the Honor Clubs for the snacks. Below were the competitions's top performers.
