The Board unanimously
approved a resolution for the Adoption of the Alabama High School Diploma –
This action creates a Single Diploma and Career-Course Requirement which will
allow the same requirements and diploma for all students from the state level,
including Special Education, with the LEA’s having the option of offering
various endorsements. The ultimate goal is for every student to graduate from
high school with the necessary knowledge and skill to succeed in post-high
school education and the workforce, without the need for remediation.
