Last week, we put out a Crenshaw County School APB for a 100 year-old teacher and we were sent a picture of 29 year-old Mrs. Jenny Holladay dressed as a 100 year-old. Mrs. Holladay does not so vividly recall the 10-mile uphill marches in the snow to and from school. She also does not recall milking the Jersey cows before school, tending to the chickens after school and hitching up the mule and wagon on the weekend just to go in to town for a sack of flower (you know the sack with a dish towel stitched to the top...or was is to the bottom.) Mrs. Holladay does not have nearly 80 years in the teacher retirement and does not plan on leaving us any time soon as she still very much enjoys working with our students. Kudos to Mrs. Holladay and all of our other not 100 year-old employees (though we might feel like it).
