LES Students Gone Mad!

Luverne Elementary students have gone mad over science.  The school recently formed its Mad Scientist Club and has a membership that exceeds 80.  These fifth and sixth graders met with AMSTI specialists from Troy and participated in an activity using the scientific method.  Students enjoyed mixing the substances and observing the chemical reaction.  The club has some exciting events planned for the year including, but not limited to, a GPS scavenger hunt.  Sponsors for the group are Mrs. Cathy Wilkes and Mrs. Julie Pinckard.  Kudos to the teachers for actively engaging students in the learning process.  Kudos to the students for their desire to learn.
