Below is a requested school calendar option that moves all teacher professional development to before school. The option also includes 179 student days in lieu of 180. Please note that the 179 days exceeds state law requirements of 1,080 hours of instruction. Also, know that we will strictly adhere to all contract requirements regarding employee days (i.e. lunchroom employees- 184 days, teacher and instructional aides- 187 days, bus drivers- 182 days) regardless of the number of student days.
One final note, we may also consider (4) 1/2 student days (one per 9 week) for the purpose of providing professional development.
