(From Mrs. Becky Cornelius) On Tuesday September 24th forty Crenshaw County
career technical education officers attended the Joint Leadership Development
Conference (JLDC) in Birmingham, AL along with 6,000 other CTE officers from throughout the state. The student leaders enjoyed all that the conference had
to offer including motivational speakers, a career exhibition, and networking
with Career Tech student organization members in their same club. The title of
the conference was “Off Balance On Purpose." Organizations in attendance were as
follows: HHS JAG, HHS FBLA, HHS FFA, LHS HOSA, LHS JAG, BHS FBLA and BHS FFA
members. Advisors organizing and/or attending the event were Mrs. Becky
Cornelius, Mr. Tony Johnson, Mrs. Cathleen McCoy, Mrs. Kim Sims, and Mr. Scott
Donaldson. A special thanks to Mr. Chuck Alford & Mrs. Ashley Catrett for
motivating and allowing the advisors and students to attend this conference for
the first time.
