Montgomery All-Metro Player of the Year- Payton Burnett

(AL.com) The Brantley girls basketball team marched into Birmingham last month and came away with a second consecutive Class 1A championship.

Payton Burnett a force to be reckoned with in the state tournament, tallying 18 points and seven rebounds in the semifinals and 16 points and 12 rebounds in the final for the Bulldogs (25-5).
The performance at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center was nothing new for the junior forward, who finished the year averaging a double-double with 15.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per
game.

For her efforts, Burnett has been named AL.com's Montgomery All-Metro Player of the Year. Check out the full first, second and third teams below.
