One of Mrs. Gayla Littlejohn's goals this year was for her class to address a need within the community. The class launched its “One Heart, Helping Hands” campaign earlier this year that included a project for each semester.
First semester's project was "Operation Stocking Stuffer," whereas the class donated Christmas stockings to children that had been placed in child protective services.
Second semester, the class painted and decorated flower pots, then planted a variety of indoor plants in the pots. The students were responsible for the taking care of the plants. This week, the students delivered the plants to the Lake Haven Assisted Living Center in Luverne. The class wishes to thank Mrs. Nancy Williams for arranging the delivery.
Kudos to Ms. Gayla and her class for their acts of kindness!
