BHS Softball Team Honors Their Opponent

Saturday the Brantley Varsity Softball team won the Pleasant Home Invitational.  The Lady Dogs went 5-0 outscoring their opponents 19-3, including a 2-0 win over 3A Opp in the championship game.  Sydnee Bryan, Jessica Hermeling, and Kelsey Hall each had four hits on the day.  Bryan and Alex Wilcox also homered once.  Bryan led the team with 5 RBI's while Hermeling had 4, two of which were the only runs scored in the championship game.  In the circle, Wilcox had 33 strikeouts in 16 innings with 3 wins.  Leanna Johnson had 13 strikeouts in 10 innings with 2 wins.

The Brantley School Softball team paid tribute during the recent Pleasant Home Tournament by wearing teal ribbons in honor of a Pleasant Home student who is currently battling ovarian cancer. All proceeds from the tournament went to her family. Kudos to the BHS girls for their kindness and compassion.
