Emily Sims and Madison Stewart recently attended Dance Masters of America (DMA) in Montgomery. While at DMA they were able to take classes and be evaluated by dancers from across the country. Many of the dance instructors have appeared on “So You Think You Can Dance.” Over three hundred dancers participated in this year’s convention. While at DMA, Emily received the MVP award. This is given to dancers that demonstrate leadership qualities. Madison was awarded DMA Protégé. She auditioned with sixty-seven, eight, and nine year olds- and placed in the top five. Emily will receive a scholarship to attend the convention again next year and Madison will perform in the opening number. We congratulate these students and look forward to them using their talents in our schools.
